We’ve been busy preparing new catalogues to share BC-published books with the world.
Our annual school catalogs are now available. The books are selected and evaluated by teachers, teacher-librarians, and educators. We also added additional procedures to assess the books in the Canadian Indigenous Books for Schools catalogue for authentic voice. In the spring, we created a new Check Us Out! catalogue for librarians, which we distributed at the BC Library Association conference.
The ABPBC worked with the Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) to produce and distribute the Literary Landscape of Western Canada catalogue featuring the associations’ members and highlighting books from the region. The ABPBC’s executive director, Heidi Waechtler, will be attending the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2018 and distributing this catalogue.
We also have a new Pacific Northwest catalogue which we debuted at the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association in Tacoma, Washington in September.
